Here's a note from ED:

"Definitely not one to use the 'awesome' word, it really is the only way I can describe Johnny Depp's performance in The Libertine.
Following a standing-room only presentation for 500 SAG members Sat  evening 11/12  I was the first in the audience to stand up and address him.
Ed:  Johnny,  witnessing your inspired performance this evening I was almost overwhelmed by the presence of Michael Chekhov...
Johnny:  ....Oh, wow!
Ed:   Could you spend a moment reflecting on how Chekhov's work has influenced your own?
Johnny:   Oh definitely....there is this amazing book I have, To The Actor.  It was given to me long ago by my dear friend Martin Landau and he inscribed on the inside cover,  "Johnny, this book has been a treasure and an inspiration to me, and I'm sure you will  find it so also."   You know, both Martin and Jimmy [Dean] were very influenced by Chekhov, and I would put it right up there with the five best books in the world on acting--no, among the best three...

Congratulations to Mike Rademeakers on his Best Actor Nomination for OF MICE AND MEN in the Valley Theatre ADA Awards and Congrats to Kent Inasy for Winning best lighting design and to SRT for Production of the 10 Minute Play Festival! Yeah!!!! and to
Jyl Shoaf and Matthew Franklin on the appearance in Edward Luhn's "Generic Play" at the Secret Rose ACTober Fest. This play has been selected as a The Winner of the Nov. 3 & 4!

The Playathon featuring Jose Rosales, and Josh Polizzi, was Oct 30 and 31st at the Secret Rose. A BIG HIT with DVD copies available

Hi There Lisa!

Hope you are well. I have been thinking about you and your amazing classes as I have recently gotten a small part in Clint Eastwood's new film!  I am sooooo happy!  Especially with him being a Chekhov Actor and Director!  He and Steven Spielberg are my absolute favorites and now I get to work with them both on the same picture!  Michelle Delynn

Hi There Lisa!

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!  For all your help and encouragement at the last minute before I went to Washington to shoot!  It was GREAT!  The best day of my entire life!!!

The Misha Audio Cd's really helped.  I stayed in my room all of 1 day to listen to them and work on my character.  I love this stuff!

I shoot again in October in LA and Chicago so I hope to get some private time to work with you for those scenes.  I am very grateful for your help, your approach and this amazing technique.

All the Best,

Michelle
