Daltons BIG M.A.C.!
Master Audition Class
How can I turn My Audition Chance into a Memorable Artisitc Career?
June 15, 2006
Fri Eve: 7:00 pm-11pm, Auditions at 6:30 pm
Lisa Daltons Master Audition Class offers the artist a path of creativity from the moment the audition is known through the casting of it.
With an in depth look at each step of the process, from the artists point of view and those casting, you can transform your approach, increase your excitement and decrease concerns. By addressing physical movement, unique choices, taking direction, interviewing, prep and post audition activity, we can experience the entire audition as a work of art. We can develop a sense of self evaluation that allows us to be independent of the need for feed back. Youll ask yourself Wheres the B.E.E.F.? in Big MAC and youll be on your way to developing peak performances whenever you are Meeting Another Colleague..
This workshop has been taught at universities and theatre festivals including Moscow, London, Berlin, Carribean, NY, Los Angeles. Filled wiith extensive scientific, athletic, and psychological research, Lisa has combined her 17 years of interivewing casting Directors at the American Film Institute with her own 30 years of experience as an actress, director, producer and teacher in NY and LA to present this often life changing workshop.
On a first come, first serve basis, Lisa will audition actors who are participating in the workshop. Depending on time, some may be selected for a call back at the end of the evening, applying the ideas suggested. Sign up will begin at 6:00pm with material made available at that time.
NO previous knowledge of Michael ChekhovTechnique is required though reading On The Technique of Acting (Harper 1991)is highly encouraged. While Lisa is out of stock on this title, try some half price or used book stores or websites.
